Dr. Judith Kazimirski

Judith Kazimirski is a practicing family physician, a Health Systems Consultant and a certified Executive Coach. Her leadership contributions have spanned several decades of sustained commitment to hospital, regional, provincial and national health care organizations. Since 1971 she has been in family practice in Windsor N.S., serving as Chief of Obstetrics from 1980-1996 and currently practising at the Hants Shore Community Health Clinic. She brings over 20 years of experience as a senior health administrator working in physician human resource planning and management, and health system leadership. She is a past Vice President of Medicine for Capital District Health Authority in Halifax serving in this role from 2000 - 2007. During her tenure at the CDHA, she developed the medical infrastructure to support the amalgamation of 8 institutions and the Academic Health Sciences Centre Dr. Kazimirski is a surveyor with Accreditation Canada and brings national experience to health systems and health human resource planning. Her professional career has taken her to the leadership of her profession as President of the Canadian Medical Association 1996. She became the CMA representative to the World Medical Association and was one of four members charged with the revision of the Declaration of Helsinki. Dr. Kazimirski was an executive member of the Medical Research Council of Canada from 1989 to 1996.

Through her many initiatives over the years, Judy's strength has been developing and supporting leaders and leadership capacity within organizations. She has extensive experience mentoring and coaching leaders in difficult times of system transformation, and through periods of career transition and planned progression.
